Causing a Scene

I love to create a scene. I'm not talking about making a spectacle of myself by throwing a temper tantrum in the store like my three-year-old sometimes does. I'm talking about using stamps, papers, embellishments etc. to create a picture.  I especially love creating whimsical scenes that take an object out of its expected environment and  put it in a whole new unexpected situation that you would never see in the real world. You see, in card world, anything goes.

Today, I am sharing with you a card I made for my niece, who turned two. I call this Monsters at the Circus. In the real world, you would never seen monsters at a circus. Heck, you would never see monsters anywhere because, despite what my temper-tantrum throwing three-year-old thinks, monsters don't really exist.

Here is another card I created a few months ago. It's a cityscape growing out of the moon.

Here is another card I really enjoy created by one of my blogging buddies, Jocelyn Olson. It's a fox driving a car!!

Now, it's your turn. Let your imagination take you as far as you can go. Create a fun, unexpected scene on a card or layout. Feel free to post a link to your blog or gallery in the comments below. We'd love to see your wild, whimsical creations!! :-) Facebook
