New Year, New Kit
So here we are in 2010. A New Year, a new decade and a new free kit from ScrapStreet.

Happy New Year
to us all! May your year be kind and peaceful in the things that matter most.
To start us all off here is a freebie for you..... from a kit I have been trying to finish for a while now called Black Velvet. It is meant to be a valentine's kit, but I am such an unromantic soul, I can't be bothered to wait for February!
This is a quick page (ready done digital page) in PNG format so you can just slip your photo underneath the heart frame (the white bit is transparent in your photo editing software), resize to whatever you want (it is 12x12) and print it out!
Easy Peasy even for you paper scrappers.......
So get it here for a week or so....
Our first edition of 2009, the January ScrapStreet magazine is out, with a new free digital kit called Musicale from Sue Wood Designs at ScrapStreet.
Pop into the store for your free copy and see what our Creative Artists came up with here and check out the other freebies and new items!
The latest offering from our designer Jopke is called About Life. Jopke tells us there are 6 different 'Life' quotes which will help in setting your goals for this brand new year of 2009! Each word art is available with and without a simple frame and in total you will have 18 items you can play around with to make the perfect layout.
That should get you started on the scrapping track for 2009.....

Thoughts for a New year!
A New Year is soon upon us! How time flies away from us, slippier than an eel and as substantial as mist. Do you plan on making any resolutions? I try, but on the whole I prefer to make a goal that I can work towards rather than some rash promise made in the heat of the moment.
One of my goals is to do more journaling in my layouts, even if these layouts are just for my eyes or those of my family! I have come to realise that I have nothing written down from my own parents and only snippets of stories remembered from my long gone grandparents. I want to pass on something tangible to my children, not for now, but in years to come.
On that note, here are some New Year quotes and sayings to think over and maybe even scrap your layouts and other projects with these in mind.
Good resolutions are simply checks that men draw on a bank where they have no account. Oscar Wilde
Many people look forward to the New Year for a new start on old habits. Unknown
