Altered canvas

Hello ladies and gents! Today I would like to share with you a piece of canvas that I altered using lots of goodies from G.C.D Studios and Tattered Angels. I've included my supplies list and instructions so that you can create one of these of your own. I love how mine looks up on the wall.

Altered Canvas
Supplies:
1 4”X4” Canvas (Canvas Corp), 1 Flower (Maya Road), Large Chipboard Butterfly(G.C.D Studios), 1 Yellow Candy Dot (G.C.D Studios), Chipboard Word Tiles (G.C.D Studios), Foam Squares (Creative Memories), Chip Art Metal Embossing Stamps (butterflies) (G.C.D Studios).
Glimmer Glam: Organic Garden, Be Positive
Glimmer Mist: Aquamarine, Dark Denim, Spanish Moss

*Coat canvas with Aquamarine Mist. Once dried, remove the cap from the Dark Denim Mist and tap some of the mists on top of the Aquamarine. Coat the edge of the canvas with the Organic Garden Glimmer Glam. Coat the top of the canvas using the Be Positive Glimmer Glam. You will see a little bit of the Aquamarine Mists show through especially around the edges.

* Emboss the chipboard butterfly wing using the Chip Art stamps and then coat the surface of the wing using the Dark Denim Mist. Adhere the wing using foam squares to the far left of the canvas about a half inch from the edge.

* Spray a piece of white flower with Spanish Moss Mist and then gently apply the Be Positive Glimmer Glam to the center of the flower with a brush. Apply a yellow candy dot to the center of the flower and adhere the flower to the butterfly wing.

* Glue to pieces chipboard word stickers to the bottom right of the canvas.

Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day everyone! Summer is truly over, but you can help save the memories of a fun time with a little mini. I wanted to share one I made of our trip to 6 Flags Great Adventure this past summer. I mixed a lot of different older Basic Grey lines. Mixing some older supplies and paper with some newer ones can re-vitalize the older supplies and make them...well, useable again :)

If you want more info about the mini, and to see more of it, I made a YouTube video about it.

Has Summer Rubbed Off On YOU?

Have you tried using G.C.D Studios papers/embellishments? I just love their stuff! Their papers and embellishments are so versatile. I decided to scrap my photos of Edward and Daddy holding an inchworm. Edward was so curious. He thought it was the cutest thing ever until daddy snatched his hand away from his mouth... yes, he still likes to eat everything. He thought maybe it would make a good meal.

This month, try something new like I did on my layout. I had fun finding new ways to use up my rub-ons. Notice how I used a rub-on and then used my butterfly punch to create my own unique embellishment? I also used the 14" round tool by Epiphany Crafts to create my own epoxy sticker using the same technique as the butterfly but with an epoxy sticker.

Hope you have a fantastic day!

Products Used:
The Great Outdoors Collection
Chipboard Shapes- The Great Outdoors Collection
Rub-ons- Funhouse Collection

Other products:
Wooden alphas: Pink Paislee
Chalkboard Mist:Acrylic Stamp: Tattered Angels
Epoxy sticker: Tool: Epiphany Crafts
Corner rounder: Creative Memories
Clear sticker: Cosmo Cricket

Happy Day--Nicole

Tic-Tac-Toe

One of my favorite childhood games was Tic-Tac-Toe. What I love about this game is that it doesn't last for hours and the game is fairly inexpensive! You can chose to scribble your own lines on paper to play the game or you could chose to make a special game for your little one like I decided to do.

To be honest, this game literally took be fifteen minutes to create! It was so easy to make because G.C.D Studios creates some awesome products! I simply cut the paper so that I had 9 visible squares and for some of the chipboard shapes, I plucked off the bling so the X's would fit nicely, added a sticker in the center and I was done! Feel free to use a 5"X5" acrylic block as your base!

I hope you've enjoyed your stay and have fun creating this precious game of your own. You know you wanna and your kid(s) will love you for it!
