I am Thinking Thursday Thoughts.

This is the very first blog post I have ever done! Shocking isn't it? Especially as my kids confessed last week they have blogs!!

So what do I do or say? Hmmm...let me think. Thursday is my day so Thursday Thoughts seems to be as good a title as any. This may be a quote because I love quotes and often find inspiration from them to help with my scrapbooking and design.

Here is a quote for this week for you to think about.................

Gardening is the art that uses flowers and plants as paint, and the soil and sky as canvas.
by Elizabeth Murray

I may just be inspired to create something that encompasses this...............want a sneak peek? Part of something called Al Fresco........

All based on this quote! What might you create with that thought in mind? Maybe next week I shall give you a little freebie as well.......?

Fix the Clipboard Bug in Photoshop CS Versions

Quote from MS BlogNews Channel
"For many Photoshop users, there is a horrible bug in Adobe Photoshop that causes the program to stop importing from the clipboard. You’ll be using the software for hours or even days without a problem, and all of a sudden you won’t be able to copy and paste anything into it at all, with your only option to close and re-open Photoshop.
Thank Goodness there is a solution, because this has been driving me nuts! I upgraded to Photoshop CS3 over the weekend, and the bug is ten times worse on CS3 under Vista than ever before."
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
It was driving me nuts as well and I couldn't decide if it was my PC, XP, Photoshop CS2, or CS3. After some research it became clear that my version(s) of Adobe Photoshop had this clipboard bug.
Andreas Wivestad has the easy registry fixes on his site for download to repair this bug in Photoshop versions CS, CS2, and CS3. After applying the registry fix from Andreas, my Photoshop was running smooth and trouble free. It's a relief knowing that this bug is now squashed, well at least until the next one comes along.

Xara Xtreme Graphics Program

Being a digital designer I am always on the lookout for software that will help me be a better one. I have been trying to find a vector program without the price tag of illustrator. I have limited funds which I'm sure that others do too. I have tried some free programs but I wasn't all that impressed with them. Some are hard to learn with very little information to help you. I am pretty quick on learning new programs so I am not without some computer skills. Recently though a friend directed me to this awesome program "Xara Xtreme". It is billed as the fastest graphics program out there with a modest price tag of $89.

Best of all you can download a trial version that enables you to try the program for 30 days and then make a decision if you want to buy it. I have downloaded the trial and I'm having fun trying it out. There are tons of video tutorials to show you how the programs works. So far it fullfills all that is promised in the video so I'm saving up my money to buy this program. I will show you a few stickers that I created for my newest kit that will be coming out soon. This car sticker was done in PSE3 involving many steps and this blue car was done in Xara . I like them both but was much happy with the results with the one done in Xara. Here is another example with this spider I drew. The first spider I created in PSE3 and the second one in Xara with fewer steps, and I was pleased with the ending results on the last spider. I hope you have enjoyed this little tid bit, even if you aren't a designer. Have an awesome Day!!
